dare to share ?

they often say... share your happiness and make it double.. share your sorrow and see it reduce.. or something like that, basically the general belief is that u can divide your troubles when u talk about them to others.. i dont believe so.. take for example,i do badly in an exam, and am distressed. i 'share my sorrow 'with my mother.. what good did that do.. it did not reduce my troubles.i am still gonna flunk. but now ,instead of reducing my sorrow i have multipied it. i am worried,my mom is also worried! another example. a friend's cell phone and wallet got stolen. she told all of us about it.. that did not make her any happier. she was worried none the less. but now all of us were distressed too! share by all means share your happy sad wierd moments..but to expect your troubles to vanish...that is asking for too much.. many a time i prefer to keep my problems to myself..my friends want to know abt my sorrows..they say they want to 'help' me.. "'yaar'

simply...LIVE!

living life in similies and metaphors, living a life written in verse and prose, the complexities and complications, of a complex sentence compounded. when u've lived your life, and wait for the final call... u will not say, "my life was like a kite, blowing in the wind, buffetted by the gust, flying among the clouds." nor r u going to say.. "my life a flowingriver, gushed and frothed over the rocks,to finally meet my destiny, in the salty seas." Nah! when u r lying in your death bed, similies and metaphors are not going to be upper most on your mind. the 'end' brings a clarity of thought ,a sudden enlightenment, that life is not a complex sentence, sometimes it can be a compound sentence, but mostly life is a simple sentence. and at the 'end' u will be wanting to say- 'i lived'. "i lived well"

gorgeous grey..

i have often wondered why r hair turns grey as we grow old..i guess it is to remind us that there is no such thing as 'black' or 'white',or wrong' and 'right'. life is in one colour and the colour is grey.. grey like the monsoon clouds, thundering with rain.rain which brings both life and destruction.. grey like a winter morning, both refreshingly coll and bitterly cold. grey like stainless steelwhich speaks of strenght and endurance, but also of hardness and rigidity. grey like granny's hair speaking of years of joy, years of sorrowbut most of all years of wisdom. so..this monsoon, when sleet and rain and muck and mud, makes u want to say,"gosh what a dull grey day!!" remember that grey is the colour of life itself-shades of life merge, happiness is intermingled with the sad.
